Romans - An End to Sin's Control

Read Romans 8:1-4

The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. - Romans 8:3 (NLT)

Belonging to Christ Jesus should be a source of great comfort and hope. When we know and understand what Jesus has done for us, satisfying God’s holy law so that we can live in God’s presence both now and forever, we have motivation to seek more of Christ and less of ourselves each day, and the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish it.
