Beyond Inspiration and Education to Transformation

Even in seemingly vibrant churches today, many members do not experience true transformational growth toward Christlikeness.  Worship services, small groups and adult education programs are inspiring and educating people in their faith but don’t provide the most effective pathway to training them in righteousness.

The Omega Experience takes churches into a deeper level of disciple-making by unleashing the power of mentoring networks. True discipleship is a life-on-life process. The Omega Experience employs a balanced discipleship approach at both personal and a corporate levels, and it applies the four vital aspects of disciple-making described below.

The Balanced Discipleship Model

(Note: The Balanced Discipleship Model was adapted from Discipler Training International’s Balanced Discipleship Model.)

Four Vital Aspects of Disciple-Making

The Omega Experience creates a common understanding about what discipleship is and how it occurs. It introduces and reinforces the following four vital aspects of disciple-making:

  • Fellowship occurs in a covenant group during the Omega Course
  • Training occurs through the Omega Course and other seminars
  • Mentoring occurs by utilizing four types of mentoring
  • Equipping each person occurs by creating a personal growth plan.
