Read 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

And then, dear brothers and sisters, you suffered persecution from your own countrymen. In this way, you imitated the believers in God’s churches in Judea who, because of their belief in Christ Jesus, suffered from their own people, the Jews. 1 Thessalonians 2:14 (NLT)

Persecution will come in some form to all Christians. We must first make sure it is not a response to sin in our lives, and then we must, by prayer and fellowship with other believers, patiently endure it, trusting ourselves to God’s care.
