Exercise and Surrender

Exercise is engaging in physical activity or exertion in order to grow and maintain a healthy body. We could have put this with temperance and fasting, but it is intentional, but not just to grow strong physically, but to learn to depend on God’s strength as well. That’s why I paired it with surrender.

Surrender is living in and through God’s strength in all we do; trusting God’s wisdom in giving us our lot in life and surrendering to his guidance and power for living.

Taking care of one’s body is important, but it is not a substitute for surrendering to God’s strength.
